The MNDriveathon5000: The Mulligan Returns to Trafford Golf Centre

A thanks from Martyn & Anna Barrow…

I’d just like to say a huge thank you to everyone who supported this year’s MNDriveathon5000.

Together, we raised £1,595, taking our total to more than £11,000 raised so far in 2026.

A special thank you to Trafford Golf Centre for their continued support, generosity and friendship. Over the past two years, they’ve helped us raise thousands of pounds for incredible causes while continuing to raise awareness of Motor Neurone Disease.

From Anna and me, thank you. We couldn’t do it without you all.

On Saturday 20 June, Trafford Golf Centre will once again host the MNDriveathon5000: The Mulligan.

From 7am–10pm, 5,000 golf balls will be hit throughout the day to represent the 5,000 people currently living with Motor Neurone Disease (MND) in the UK, ahead of Global MND Awareness Day on 21 June.

Following the success of last year’s inaugural event, which brought the local community together to raise both awareness and funds for MND, we’re aiming to go even bigger in 2026.

Get Involved on the Day

Visitors are encouraged to come down, show their support and take part in:

• Nearest the Pin competitions
• Raffles
• On-site fundraising activities

Whether you’re a regular golfer, visiting with family, or simply want to support an important cause, everyone is welcome.

Raising Awareness for MND

The MNDriveathon5000 is about more than just golf. It’s a visible show of support for those affected by Motor Neurone Disease and an opportunity to bring people together through sport and community spirit.

Last year’s event proved what can be achieved when the golf community comes together, and we’re hoping to build on that momentum this year.
